Most cervical cancers are associated with human papillomavirus (HPV), the most common sexually transmitted infection. Immunization with the HPV vaccine could reduce the impact of cervical cancer and other cancers caused by HPV.   Here’s what you need to know about the HPV vaccine.

Get vaccinated at a gynaecology clinic for protection against diseases caused by HPV.  If you have completed the HPV vaccine, it is strongly recommended for you to continue with regular cervical cancer screening by a gynae as this will protect you from any cancer-related HPV types that are not covered by the HPV vaccine.
